Goodwood Racecourse and Motorsports are currently searching for elite members of staff to join their Service Academy

If you are interested in working within the catering and events industry and are dedicated to providing first class service we can provide a first class environment.

We are looking for attentive, hands on professionals with some catering knowledge. Passion and flair and willingness to learn are more important than experience.

People that wants to make their career in hospitality and understand that a good manager is one that has learnt the business from all aspects.

Good customer skills and the ability to get people motivated and able to work with excellent communication skills. Good with numbers and the attitude to check and re-check the work produced.

Unmoving personal standards and able to copy service standards and then adhere to them throughout. Necessary to have an eye for detail.

Requirements
To work within the all Catering team in different areas of the Goodwood operation.

To work as part of the Compass team at other venues such as Aintree and Cheltenham.

To attend internal and external training sessions. To adhere to the training schedule and achieve high standards of feedback through the appraisal process.

To have a full knowledge of the SOP manuals. To have comprehensive understanding of the menus and wine lists.

To be trained to fine dining standards in wine and food service.

To be trained in cash handling and reconciliations. To be financially aware of the catering business and profit analysis. To understand stock controls and management.

To be fully trained in statutory regulations for food hygiene, COSSH, HACCP, fire training, First aid, Musculoskeletal Health Awareness, licensing regulations and employment law within level one.
