Entertainer

Description

As a Neilson Entertainer you’ll be responsible for running an entertainment programme in one of our BeachPlus Centers. This will include a range of both daytime and evening activities suitable for everyone including families and adults.

The evening entertainment you’ll provide will range from a live lounge performance showcasing your musical talent (playing/singing modern day tunes in a relaxed environment) to organising and comparing TV game show classics. Creativity, flare and excellent organisational skills are all a must for this role.

When you are not performing or entertaining the guests in the evening you will use your outgoing personality to host a range of daytime activities such as family rounders, giant jenga, killer darts, pool competitions, water polo, beach volleyball, beach boules and the odd 5-a-side match. Whatever your own talents you’ll need an immense amount of personality and stamina to keep the entertainment programme and our Neilson guests going.

Neilson will provide full training at the start of the season along with ongoing development. We also provide flights, accommodation, meals, uniform, insurance, monthly salary, weekly bonus and use of all the Neilson “toys” both beach and shore side for you to use when you’re not working or on your day off.

To apply for this role you MUST: be a confident performer able to provide lounge entertainment by either singing and/or playing guitar (or other suitable musical instrument), have proven customer service experience, be a confident communicator and have bags of enthusiasm and energy.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and have previous experience in this kind of job role. Experience of working in a customer service industry is essential.

You should also be a strong communicator and confident that you can work independently. Experience in playing a musical instrument (guitar, keyboard etc) would be an advantage as would knowledge of Greek language.
