We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic individual to join our Safety Team. This is a demanding job requiring a high level of commitment to the work of the Centre, its staff and customers.  Applicants should have some experience of providing training to others, of monitoring and implementing safety standards and working within the framework of specific activity guidelines.  A high level of interpersonal skills will be required.  Simply click on the apply now button below to make an online application

Requirements

Essential Requirements
 
·         An all round experienced outdoor practitioner with some training or management experience
·         Experience in training others to lead outdoor activities
·         A good awareness of safety in the workplace
·         To hold at least BCU Level 3 Canoe or Kayak Coach
·         At least 2 other NGB intermediate awards, preferably: BCU, RYA, SPA, BCA
·         A high level of interpersonal skills
·         Excellent communicator
·         To work as part of a team and also under own initiative
·         Holder of a current 16 Hour First Aid Certificate
·         Driving Licence
·         To be able to respect the Christian ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values
