We are currently recruiting fun, enthusiastic, friendly people to run our summer language centres.
The Academic Programme Manager’s key responsibility is the implementation, smooth running, administration and ultimately successful delivery of all aspects of the Summer School Academic Programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* To implement and manage the academic programme, ensuring it is run to the highest standard
* To manage the teaching staff to create a positive, enthusiastic team delivering a high quality programme
* To observe and appraise all teaching staff, providing support and guidance on all aspects of lesson preparation and delivery
* To teach when required e.g. staff sickness
* To organise and oversee the delivery of Trinity exams (if applicable at centre)
* To lead the staff induction day
* To organise and manage the placement and exit testing of students, academic timetabling, course planning, student questionnaire analysis and student certificate delivery
* To organize Group Leader sessions (up to 3hrs per week), to provide information and guidance on teaching practices, update on student progress and act as problem solving sessions
* To support the Centre Director in the overall running of the centre
* To liaise with Head Office on maintaining academic staffing levels, including staff payroll details and rota
* To liaise with the Recreational Programme Manager to ensure that the activities programme and academic programme are integrated successfully
* To ensure high levels of student safety and welfare are maintained and school rules are adhered to
* To assist and support the centre management team in residential supervision duties
* To ensure that Ardmore Language School Health & Safety policies are implemented and adhered to at all times.
* Support the Centre Director in the overall management of the centre

Personal Specification
Essential:
* Mother tongue English speaker, minimum CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL / PGCE TEFL
* Over 2 years full time EFL experience
* Ability to lead and manage an academic team
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to adapt quickly to change
* Excellent organisational skills
* Smart personal appearance
RECOMMENDED:
* Diploma level qualified* (DELTA or Trinity College London Licentiate Diploma in TESOL)
* Previous summer school experience
* Previous residential experience
* Previous experience in continuous enrolment courses |
