An Assistant Cook is required to assist the Head Cook at our busy residential multi activity centre. Based on a converted Mersey Ferry, permanently moored in the stunning Salcombe Estuary in Devon, this is a job with a real difference.

Fantastic package with accommodation, meals and uniform provided! There are many opportunities to get involved with sailing and other outdoor activities in your spare time, making this an enviable position.

The Assistant Cook works as part of a team to produce good kitchen-prepared meals for up to 120 guests and staff three times a day. The guests range from school children to hungry active adults, many of whom are accommodated onboard. A really fantastic opportunity for a steady, customer-focused person who can fit in with the team, bring the right skills and have a great time! As well as the regular meals, there are also opportunities to get creative with occasional functions and parties and some time to get out on the water, learn to sail and to get involved in other outdoor activities.

Requirements

You should be a friendly and outgoing person who wants to be part of a team to provide a memorable experience for guests.

The success of the catering operation has a diret impact on the overall success of the ICC and as such this gives the Assistant Cook the opportunity to learn a grat deal from the Head Cook.   This role would suit a happy, outgoing person who isn't afraid of hard work and who thrives on excellent customer service.

This is a great opportunity to learn to sail and get involved with other water activities outside of working hours. One of the benefits is free use of the club's large fleet of sailing boats, with many formal and informal training opportunities during the season.
