JCA is one of the fastest growing providers of school residential and day activity centres, predominantly to primary schools. Operating a total of 13 centres across the UK, the centres provide a great value proposition to schools, and can be tailored to individual requirements.
The business has recently invested in a multi million-pound development and have successfully enhanced the existing facilities of Condover Hall. This exceptional centre and location is the flagship site to deliver an unforgettable learning experience to both students and teachers alike.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Head Chef in the preparation and service of food, maintaining high levels of hygiene, safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
What You'll Be Doing
To assist in providing all meals in accordance with company guidelines.
Ensure high standards of preparation, presentation and quality of food.
To take food samples of all high risk food in accordance with HACCP regulations and maintain records.
Serving food from our canteen bays
To undertake a daily kitchen-cleaning schedule and to assist in washing up as required.
To ensure high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times, according to local regulations.
Be aware of stock levels and to assist in compiling orders as required
To receive deliveries of food ensuring it is checked, stored away correctly and rotated effectively in accordance with HACCP regulations
To assist in providing special dietary requirements according to the needs of your guests.
To assist in the provision of a balanced menu for staff daily

Ability to working with children and young people
Previous kitchen experience
Experience of working in a similar role

Catering qualifications would be an advantage
