Description
JCA is one of the fastest growing providers of school residential and day activity centres, predominantly to primary schools. Operating a total of 13 centres across the UK, the centres provide a great value proposition to schools, and can be tailored to individual requirements.
The business has recently invested in a multi million-pound development and have successfully enhanced the existing facilities of Condover Hall. This exceptional centre and location is the flagship site to deliver an unforgettable learning experience to both students and teachers alike.
The purpose of this role is to work alongside our Head Chef to provide child-friendly, wholesome meals for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals in accordance with company guidelines ensuring high standards of preparation, presentation and the quality of food at all times.
- Provide for special dietary requirements according to the needs of your guests
- Work to the catering budget set by the Company, with guidance from our Head Chef
- Provide a balanced menu for staff each day
- Follow our company procedures to ensure goods are stored and rotated in an efficent way in accordance with HACCP regulations
- To take food samples of all high-risk food in accordance with HACCP regulations.
- Assist with maintaining and monitoring the daily HACCP records
- Ensure the highest levels of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness according to European and local regulations by implementing and undertaking a daily kitchen cleaning schedule.

Requirements
- Ability to work with children and young people
- Sound knowledge of catering
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Team player
- Assertive, focused and helpful manner
- NVQ or equivalent in Catering Food hygiene certificate
