The Travel Class night porter will ensure the safety and security of the centre and groups, during the evening, with regular checks and patrols directed by the Travel Class senior team onsite. Building excellent rapport with the Party Leaders, Children, Centre staff and the Travel Class activity team.

The Night Security person will promote excellent customer service throughout the season ensuring that customers expectations are exceeded and that their needs are met.This is a live in position for which you will be required to locate to one of our JCA centres across the UK. Locations of our centres can be found on our website.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Travel Class Health and Safety Policy and any site fire, incident management and evacuation procedures.
  • Patrol the site throughout the night to ensure the safety and security of the site is maintained.
  • Escalate to the senior team onsite and report any occurrences, special information, incidents, operational details and shift related tasks.
  • Ensuring that all public use and activity areas and equipment is well maintained and free from hazards.
  • Report immediately any serious incidents to the senior team onsite and maintain written logs of all information.
  • To work alongside site staff to ensure vigilance at all times.
  • Ensuring that all areas within role adhere to BAHA, LOtC, Adventuremark, BCU & AALA standards and procedures.
  • Compliance with the Company’s Child Protection policy at all times.
  • Promoting excellent customer service, communicating with all customers ensuring that expectations are exceeded and targets are achieved.
  • Building rapport and using excellent communication skills with all customers (Party Leaders, Children & Suppliers) throughout the operation.
  • Assist in other departments when required.
  • Any other tasks requested by the Centre Activity Manager deemed relevant to this role.

Requirements

  • 21 years or above.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to work late shift patterns.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on own and using own initiative.
  • Enthusiasm for providing a safe and secure environment.
  • Confident and responsible.
  • Satisfactory receipt of ‘Subject Access Disclosure’ and ‘Enhanced CRB Disclosure’
