Sunsail Clubs is currently recruiting for Club Vounaki in Greece. Sailing is like the way of life here. The resort offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new. Our Kid’s Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include Tennis courts, fitness Studio and Mountain Biking.
About the role
You will be responsible for the managment all operational aspects of the Club Vounaki Sailing School, to include the delivery of the RYA syllabus, day to day management of staff, driving revenue and ensuring yachts are set up to Sunsail and RYA standards. Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate paperwork and instructors for all courses
Drive revenue and promote courses available within resort
Maintain the standards of training delivered on shore based courses
To monitor customer feedback of RYA Training and investigate comments where necessary
Liaise with the RYA and other governing bodies to ensure that the syllabi that are delivered are up to date
Ensure yachts are clean and set up per company standards and RYA requirements
To ensure that any changes in the SOPs are communicated to instructors, and that this is documented
To provide support and guidance to instructors, and provide on going training as necessary
To develop course material to support existing and future course requirements
To liaise with the General Manager to ensure that the yachts are maintained and set up as per RYA standards
Ensure before yachts set sail correct paperwork has been completed as per company and local law requirements.
Ensure company polices and procedures are kept to whilst instructors are at sea
Lead and motivate the instructors
Contribute fully to the overall running of the club, by involvement with quizzes, weekly prize giving and joining guests for evening half-board meals.
Provide excellent customer service at all times
Carry out transfer day duties, such as representing the company at the airport
Carry out other duties within your ability as requested by your line manager.
You will be required to be flexible in your job role and may be required to move between different resorts or departments according to operational needs
Requirements
RYA Yachtmaster Instructor
At least 1 years experience managing a team
Knowledge of health & safety legislation
Knowledge of the RYA Sailing School syllabus and standards
Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
Highly motivated individual
Competent swimmer
Good communication skills- oral and written
Excellent customer service skills
First Aid certificate
Suitable CRB check
