Job Description
Counsellors are the first point of contact for our students outside of lessons, responsible for their everyday well-being (on campus and on trips) and for the delivery of their extra-curricular activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead activities assigned by Junior Deans.
- Support the Campus Management team in the running of all elements of the programme.
- Supervise students whilst on campus, on coaches and at external excursion sites.
- Ensure the everyday wellbeing and safety of the students.
- Contribute to the organisation, content and delivery of the Social and Enrichment Programmes to enhance the students’ experience.
- Ensure that student experience is of the highest standard.
Position Details-
- Role will be based at one of our summer sites in Oxford, Cambridge, or Uppingham.
- Working hours will be approximately 40 hours per week across 6 days. This includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts as assigned by Campus Management.
- Courses for students aged 8-12 in Uppingham are one week in length, with courses running from July to mid-August.
- Courses for students aged 13-15, 16-18 and 19+ in Oxford and Cambridge run in sets of 2 weeks, with the majority of courses running from July to mid-August.
- There are two-, four- and six-week contracts available.
- Mandatory training and campus set up will take place during the week before student arrivals.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Completed at least A-Levels or equivalent examinations.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working with young people;
- Able to lead activities in an area of specific interest e.g. sport / drama / crafts;
- Undergraduate degree or working towards one.
